Kurt is an experienced attorney whose practice has primarily focused on electronic discovery, fact investigation, and analysis in the context of internal and government investigations and large corporate litigation. Over the last 13 years, Kurt has spent a substantial amount of his time coordinating and managing document discovery review teams in matters concerning white collar criminal defense, subpoena compliance, internal and regulatory investigations, and large commercial litigation.

Before joining Walden Macht & Haran, Kurt coordinated and managed document discovery review teams for a large global electronic discovery consulting firm representing legal departments of multinational corporations and their outside counsel. From 2006 through January 2017, Kurt practiced as a Staff Attorney in the award-winning litigation department of a large global law firm primarily managing electronic document discovery reviews and conducting fact investigation, while coordinating with outside electronic discovery vendors in the validation and quality control of the electronic discovery process. From 1996 to 2001, Kurt was a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Nevada where he assisted in representing the State’s largest business regulatory agencies in collection matters in both State and Federal Bankruptcy courts.

Kurt earned a J.D., with distinction, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law where he was a member of The UMKC Law Review. He graduated from the University Missouri-Columbia with a B.A. in Political Science.
